United Methodists have believed, from the beginning, that each of us is called to
participate in the outreaching ministry of Jesus Christ. John Wesley described this
work in simple, practical terms: "Do all the good you can, in all the places you
can, to all the people you can." Putting our faith into action is at the very heart
of our Christian calling.
Suwanee UMC is committed to meeting the needs of our community, both locally and
throughout the world. Through partnering with the North Gwinnett Co-op, distributing
coats and blankets to local hotels, and other mission opportunities, we seek to make
an impact. We are currently exploring more ways to be the hands and feet of Christ
in our communities, sharing the good news of Jesus and meeting the needs of His people.
Also, throughout the year, we are active participants with programs like Family Promise,
Operation Christmas Child, the Prayer Quilt and Wee Care Ministry, Christmas Angel
Tree, Imagine No Malaria, short term mission trips, Vacation Bible School, and we
sponsor a missionary.
